It’s the first Tuesday of the month and you know what that means!!! It’s #TotallyFreeSVG Blog Hop day!!! This month my blogger buddies and I got together to make some ADORABLE Free Easter SVG Cut Files! That means that you have a whole month and a half to take these awesome files and create some awesome DIY Easter goodness with them!
Do you have a favorite Easter candy? I’m loving watching my Instagram stories lately because everyone is hitting up the aisles of there favorite stores and stocking up on all the Easter candy. Some of the people I follow are ride or die for their favorite Easter candy! When I was a kid my favorite Easter candy was Cadbury Creme Eggs and Jelly Belly Jellybeans. The candy that I always wanted in my Easter basket but never found on Easter morning was Peeps! I’m not sure why, but my mom had a Peep aversion and refused to buy Peeps. I remember that her excuse was always “Peeps are pure sugar”, but really… aren’t Cadbury Creme Eggs and Jelly Bellys pure sugar too? LOL.
I don’t think that I ate my first Peep until I was 12 years old and hanging out at one of my friends house during spring break. She had her Easter basket sitting on her desk and it had a box of Peeps inside. I confessed to her that I had never had a Peep before and she got to work right away rectifying that situation. I think the two of us wolfed down the entire box of them.
The second I walked in the door back at home I confessed to my Mom that I had eaten Peeps. “Well…” she said “They weren’t very good were they? Pure sugar right?”
“Yep. Pure sugar!” I replied, but secretly in my head I was thinking “What kid doesn’t love to eat pure sugar?!?!?”
I can’t say that I’ve ever bought Peeps. We actually go pretty minimal on the Easter candy (we’re still making our way through the Halloween and Christmas candy), but I do love the aesthetic of Peeps. I love the pretty pastel colors, the sugar coating that looks like sparkles and the sweet little bunny shape (the bunny is definitely my preference over the chick shape).
I decided to incorporate pretty pastel peeps into my Free Easter SVG Cut File and create a Chillin’ With My Peeps cut file.
I think that this design would look SO CUTE on a onesie or a child’s shirt! You could even size the bunnies in different sizes and assign them colors to represent each member of your family!
Speaking of making shirts… Here are some of my must have tools for creating adorable DIY tees!
–Cricut Maker or Cricut Explore (prefer shopping on Amazon? Find the Cricut Maker here and the Cricut Explore here.)
