Countdown to Christmas Day 17- DIY Projects with Dremel Rotary Tool (Gift for Him & Crafters)

Christmas is just around the corner. Only 7 shopping days left! Who do you still have to buy for? We hope that you are finding our Countdown To Christmas helpful for finding the perfect gift for everyone on your list. Every gift included in our Countdown to Christmas was hand picked by us because they are either a gift that we would love to give or receive.

COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS DAY 17 GIFT FOR HIM:

DREMEL ROTARY TOOL

Over the summer The Hubs told me that the next time I was buying him a gift, he wanted a Dremel Rotary Tool.

“A what?” I asked.

The Hubs rolled his eyes at me. “And you call yourself a DIY queen?” he said.

I confess. I was unaware of the magic that is a Dremel Rotary tool. I’m so glad that my husband filled me in. This is one tool that no tool box is complete without.

What can you do with a Dremel Rotary Tool?

-Sand      -Engrave      -Carve      -Grind      -Cut

-Drill      -Sharpen      -Clean and Polish

I’ll be honest… even knowing that the Dremel can do all of these things I still had a hard time picturing the projects that I could make with the Dremel rotary tool. Then I started watching the how to videos. I thought that I would share a few of my favorites with you.

Dremel Project Idea #1- Carve a pumpkin

Dremel Project Idea #2- Etching glass

Dremel Project Idea #3- Cutting Tile

Dremel Project Idea #4- Re-slotting a screw that has been stripped

Dremel Project Idea #5- Restoring a screwdriver tip

Dremel Project Idea #6- Cutting identifiers into keys

Dremel Project Idea #7- Creating terracotta luminaries

Dremel Project Idea #8- Building a derby car

Dremel Project Idea #9- Distressing jeans

Dremel Project Idea #10- Creating decorative eggs

That’s just the tip of the iceberg of all the great DIY and Craft projects you can make with a Dremel Rotary Tool! The Hubs will be getting a Dremel 4200 Rotary Tool with EZ Change accessories under the Christmas tree this Christmas. I’ll be honest, this is one gift that I think I’ll enjoy just as much as he does.

I hope you enjoyed today’s edition of the Sew Creative Countdown to Christmas. I’ll be back tomorrow with Day 18 of my Great Gifts Countdown To Christmas.

Tell me… What types of gifts do you buy for the men in your life? Who is the “handy person” in your household? Can you think of any projects you’d love to make with a Dremel rotary tool?

*A big thank you to Dremel for sending a Dremel rotary tool for The Hubs and I to test out. All thoughts and opinions on this blog are 100% my own. I approached Dremel to take part in my Holiday Gift Guide because a Dremel is a gift that I would love to give (and receive).
