Decorating for holidays is one of my favorite things to do. Lucky for me, Easter is coming up, and that means I get to decorate again!
I don’t know about you guys, but I like making a lot of my decorations myself. There are some good store-bought ones, sure, but none of them do the job like stuff I make myself! For example, I made myself this Easter-inspired table runner using a tutorial from Missouri Star Quilt Company.
This table runner is so much cuter than anything I found while Easter shopping, and it was so cheap and easy to make! All you need are some 5-inch fabric squares, a long piece of fabric, and some batting.
Jenny with MSQC made hers from leftover fabric and batting. The only thing she purchased was the 5-inch fabric squares, which MSQC sells in sets called “charm packs.”
You also can easily buy the squares at any fabric store, use some leftover scraps, or even make the squares out of neck ties, blue jeans, or whatever else you have laying around the house. The possibilities are endless!
Mine was made from some pastel fabrics I got at my local fabric store with alternating flowers, eggs, and bunnies. Some of the squares I left as a plain pastel for a bit of contrast.
Friends, family, and the Easter Bunny are sure to love this adorable and easy table runner, and personally, I don’t think decorating for this holiday is complete without one. Watch Jenny with MSQC make hers below, and be sure to share this technique with your friends!
