I think we are all looking for a remedy to our dogs bad breath. I’ve bought all kinds of bones and doggie breath mints specifically made to help eliminate this problem. To no avail, those didn’t do the trick either.
I’ve made an oath, many times, to brush my dogs teeth and I start out gung ho and quickly that fizzles out, since it’s such a hassle to do this…not just on one dog, but two!
When I saw this tutorial, I decided to give this a try. I’ve made it a habit to give my dogs treats when we come in from a walk, so I thought this recipe might help with their breath. Plus, these make for healthier treats than what I have been giving them. The next time I make these, I’m going to put a few drops of my 100% natural peppermint essential oils in the batter. I saw another tutorial for treats for dogs breath and she added those, but she also used NingXia Red drink in them and that is very expensive.
Well, I’m happy to report back to you that it has made a difference AND I’m psyching myself up to start back on the teeth brushing. After all, the main reason for their bad breath is the build up of plaque on their teeth. Therefore, this is not a substitute for your dogs dental care.
