There are a lot of health benefits from doing this every day for 2 weeks and 2 weeks off. The idea that dipping a lemon in baking soda can protect against cancer has been controversial, but hear Eva Fox out before coming to a conclusion.
There are some great properties in doing this and I’ve listed what Eva Fox says below:
- Alkalizing – The mixture of lemon and sodium bi-carbonate has the property of alkalizing the organism. This helps us, for example, to combat acidosis that can occur when the kidneys are not removing enough acid from the body, or when the body produces too much acid.
- Digestive – You already know the multiple virtues of lemon to facilitate our digestion. If we add a little bit of baking soda, we will get a wonderful mixture to make our digestive system work much better. It is a good anti-acid, which also fights flatulence.
- Depurative – A great success start the day with this remedy, as it allows us to purify the liver, and gives us a good dose of Vitamin C, potassium and wonderful antioxidants with which to fulfill our day with the necessary and adequate contribution.
- A Good Regulator – Drinking water that is rich in sodium bi-carbonate will allow us to regulate the level of bad cholesterol, thus improving our cardiovascular health.
How to take this remedy? For whom is it not beneficial?
Too easy. We only have to serve a glass of mineral water (never cold or hot ie. natural) and add a teaspoon of baking soda and juice of a half a lemon. Drink it in the morning and fasting.
Take it two weeks in a row, then rest two more. Excessive intake of sodium bi-carbonate may cause alkalosis, so it is better to alternate two weeks and two not. DO NOT take this if you suffer from gastritis.
