Mark Morano does it again! I think these rugs he makes are simply divine and will definitely be making some of these for my home! These rugs have the look of an authentic rug you might purchase in Santa Fe, New Mexico…and I just love things like this!
I don’t know about you, but whenever I was looking for small area mats or rugs for my kitchen, foyer, or bath I could never find one in the color or style that I envisioned and would end up with nothing or something that I really didn’t like. I was shopping to buy a couple of these because I needed the rugs to wipe feet or protect the floor, with the hopes of a nice accent color in my home. This project put an to end that frustration – I used fabric to make a custom rug so my color and pattern options were endless and I got exactly what I wanted in color, style and size! Thanks to this awesome tutorial!
- Acrylic Paint (in the colors you want to use)
- E-6000 Stitchless Glue
- Fringe (1 yd–optional)
- Masking Tape
This is such a simple DIY project, yet certainly doesn’t appear that way. These would be great gifts or for Christmas that’s right around the corner! This is a great time to start making these…I would love it if someone gave me one for a gift!
